How to Beat Scenario 1 of Roller Coaster Tycoon 4 (RCT4M)

The first scenario of RCT4M is pretty straightforward, we need to get to a level 3 excitement rating within a certain amount of time, with 42 hours being the 3-star level.

You'll notice that when you start this scenario, you have 15,000 coins, and a current excitement level of 2.5 out of 3. Getting to the 3-star is easy.

Step 1: Build a Rocket Blast

Obviously, building anything with an excitement rating less than 3 won't do. The cheapest ride to accomplish this is the Rocket Blast, costing 14,000 coins of the available 15,000.

Step 2: Speed up the Build

Once you click build, you'll notice that the build time is about an hour and 20 minutes. You can collect coins from the built businesses to speed that up a bit. I got to about 24 minutes left before I had the needed 3,000 coins.

Step 3: Beat Scenario 1 of RCT4M

Once you've completed the build of the Rocket Blast, you'll go over the level 3 excitement rating, and all well within the 3-star time limit.
