Scenario 13 of Roller Coaster Tycoon 4 Mobile requires you to build a roller coaster at least 700 feet in length in 72 hours. Want three stars? You'll need to build one that's 1,120 feet. I've written a post before about RCT4M track lengths, so I already know what I'm going to do there. I'll get to that in a bit.
You don't start off with a whole lot of money or money makers in this scenario, so we're going to start (as usual) right there.
Build 10 Coffee Stands
I actually started out with ice cream stands, but switched to coffee stands because I wasn't collecting very often. Always base your choice of food stand on how often you log on. The coffee stands let me check every hour or so.
Add a Ferris Wheel and Carousel
I'd like to improve my collection rate a bit, so I'm going to throw in a Ferris Wheel and Carousel. It most likely only shaved off a few minutes of the collection time, but I like to complete these things as fast as possible while not having to live on my phone.
Plan Your Rollercoaster
1,120 feet of coaster is nothing small, and I hate playing guessing games. Based on my post about RCT4M track lengths, I've decided to guarantee length on the first shot and build a coaster with 12 loops. I'm sure you could get away with 11, but I didn't test that out. So here's my planned coaster:
As you can see, I need about 165K in coins to build this coaster, and even with a little bit of a break, I'm still under 100K.
Add another Attraction and 2 More Coffee Stands (Optional)
I'm pretty sure you could 3-star this scenario without having to do this part, but I wanted to speed things up a bit. I added another ride and two more coffee stands.
You can see I've cranked up the number of folks I'm serving, so that should keep my coffee stands earning at a reasonable rate. From here, I check every hour or two and boost my coin collection a little bit more each time. Every coffee stand collects 750 coins when full, so with 12 of them, I'm gaining 9K in coins.
Build Your Coaster the Next Day
With a full night's sleep and some fairly consistent coin collecting, I had enough coins to build the roller coaster.
Collect Enough Coins To Finish Building Early
Now that I've got the coaster building, I'm going to keep collecting from my coffee stands. As you'll see, it won't take more than the time left to complete the scenario without this, but who wants to wait? At some point, the amount of coins I need to finish building early and amount of coins I have saved cross paths, and I three-star this one.
So there you have it! Three stars in about 20+ hours.
